Richard Blackford’s Orbital now published by Nimbus Music Publishing

Richard Blackford’s Orbital is now available from Nimbus Music Publishing, following its first performances earlier this year.

Inspired by Samantha Harvey’s Booker Prize-winning novel Orbital, the work was jointly commissioned by five leading British brass bands — the cooperation band, Cory Band, Flowers Band, Foden’s Band and Tredegar Town Band — together with conductor Martyn Brabbins and in association with BBC Radio 3.

The publication marks the next chapter for Orbital, making Blackford’s new work available to brass bands internationally.
